After surviving a gunshot wound in northeast Denver, the Mile High was not a happy place for the eight-year-old girl. This past July 19 though, things started to brighten up. Moore was bestowed an up close and personal visit with teen phenoms the Jonas Brothers and premier seat to their concert at Fiddler’s Green, along with a meet and greet with another Disney star, Demi Lovato. Moore’s aunt, Jessica Gay, rushed her to a local Burger King for help after the tragic shooting, and as such both were awarded "hometown heroes" by the company.

Metromix was on hand along with 9News, as we had the fortunate opportunity to follow Moore, along with the trio of heartthrob fellas around the city. From a stop at the batting cages to the sound check, our very own Christina Shann along with Modest Moose Productions’ Danny Diaz got to hang with the boys all day; and hey, it’s okay, you don’t have to admit you like them…we already saw you sing along at the concert.

After the great Britney Spears disaster of the fall of 2007, the MTV Video Music Awards seem to have a new game plan for 2008. Marking a move from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, the network will turn to teen pop studs the Jonas Brothers, perhaps ushering in a kinder, gentler MTV VMA era.

The "Camp Rock" survivors are the first act announced for the 2008 awards, which will be broadcast from the Paramount Studios lot on Sept. 7 in Los Angeles. While there's still plenty of time for MTV to offer up a more shocking appearance, a la the return of Brit last year, the mere presence of the Jonas Brothers would likely signal a shift toward a more family-friendly affair, unless the Jonas Brothers are hoping for some sort of MTV controversy to catapult them out of the tween-pop world. But that's more of a job for Annie Leibovitz, anyway.
Everyone's saying JB should be out of the whole Disney World. Because they're ready to be on their own. But who knows?

++ Nick, Joe, and Kevin were accused for ripping off musical stylings of many other artists such as My Chemical Romance, Elvis Costello, etc. I don't think its much of a big deal though, their music is pretty much not the same as the others.
On the downside, the Jonas Brothers are becoming so eclectic, they barely have a recognizable sound to call their own. Pretty much everything the brothers played Tuesday night was obviously derivative, starting with the show opener "That’s Just the Way We Roll," which sounded like an Ugly Kid Joe song. The hit "Pushin’ Me Away" heavily borrows the My Chemical Romance sound. Other performances aped the stylings of Elvis Costello and even the Blue Man Group. And although it’s cool that Nick performed a 10-minute song about his struggle with diabetes, he really shouldn’t have ripped off a Joni Mitchell lyric without crediting its writer.

Heres an article on Disney and how they do what they do to stay in the public eye.
"They can showcase their acting on their television shows. They can exploit their singing abilities on their radio stations and record labels. The Jonas Brothers are an even better success story."

Starting late last year, Disney moved the brothers beyond the recording studio and onto TV. While the Hannah Montana craze was at its peak, Disney placed the Jonases on the highly rated show. Last August, they appeared on an episode performing with Cyrus; it was seen by 10.7 million viewers.

"It's all a rather ruthless, well-oiled machine that Disney operates very well," says Marian Salzman, who follows pop culture trends for the marketing firm Porter Novelli. "But because there's this small window of time for these tween acts, Disney keeps pumping them out."


Lets hope JB don't grow old in the entertainment industry.

Are you a JB Fan? Take a look at some facts from an article!
Did you know that the Jonas Brothers Bands started when Nick Jonas, the youngest of the three started a solo career? At six years old, nick was discovered be a manager while the young kid was crooning at the barber shop. Nick then got into Broadway after a year and started in A Christmas Carol as Tiny Tim and even at Les Miserables.

He also acted in Beauty and the Beast which was about the time Nick wrote a musical piece with his dad entitled “Joy to the Word – A Christmas Prayer.” The song was sung on a yearly charity event for AIDS produced by Broadway. It was a big hit. INO Records produced it and Christian Radio made it popular through the airwaves.

Meanwhile, while all this was happening, Joe Jonas also went joined the Broadway bandwagon staring on a version of the play La Boheme. As Nick’s solo career gained moderate success, it got him noticed. By this time, the three brothers had already started writing songs together for Nick. They eventually were corralled by Columbia records and finally named themselves as the Jonas Brothers.

“A big congratulations to Joe,” brother Kevin Jonas, 20, said before a Los Angeles taping of MTV’s new music show FNMTV on Friday. “He just graduated from high school. It happened yesterday so it’s a big deal.”

Joe, 18, who took correspondence courses while touring, said he was relieved to have sent in his last high school assignment on Thursday. “I haven’t heard from the school yet. But I’m officially done with the work,” said Joe, who “played a concert” to celebrate.

Nick, Joe, and Kevin did awesome on the FN MTV! They're also huge Coldplay fans!:

“Last night, at their concert, Coldplay went up and introduced themselves (to the crowd). They said, ‘Hi, we’re the Jonas Brothers’ older brothers,’” Joe said. “Just the fact they knew who we were — we’re huge Coldplay fans, so it’s just so cool.”

And the Jonas Brothers will also be peforming at the VMAs:

On the Friday night (July 18) episode of "FNMTV," it was revealed that Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas would be performing at the 25th annual VMAs; the show will air live, and only once in its original incarnation, on September 7 at 9 p.m. This year's host, as well as additional performers and presenters, will be announced in the coming weeks.

Just because The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato star together in Camp rock, doesn't mean they have to date!
The rumor mill was grinding away that Joe Jonas and Demi were dating secretly ... well girls, let your hearts rest becasue they're NOT!
Joe said that they're not dating and that those rumors have surfaces just because they hang out together for work and are costars.

And in this article, by Pop Culture Critic, I can't tell if he's saying bad or good stuff about them.
The dreadlocked keyboard player did look a little bit like Jesus, but the Jonas Brothers' first of two Bay Area performances was a second coming by technicality only. Unlike the Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana tour that passed through the Bay Area late last year - with the Jonas boys as the opening act - this much-hyped concert was unfocused, bloated and ultimately overwhelmed by its own excess.

The Jonas Brothers' young fans all seemed to be having a great time, but they weren't the greatest barometer of the group's musical talent and potential longevity as artists. Judging by the devoted looks in their eyes (and homemade pink sparkly-painted "What Would Jonas Do" T-shirts), the fans would have kept screaming if Nick, Joe and Kevin did nothing but sit on the stage reading a William Faulkner novel.
